OUR BEEF TALLOW IS LOCALLY SOURCED AND RENDERED PURE

Welcome to Right Hand Naturals where we use locally sourced beef tallow from local farmers here in Northeast Pennsylvania. We render it down to draw out all impurities and then whip it to a texture that is light, fluffy and easily absorbed into the skin. It is made with simple ingredients that are nourishing for your skin and free from added chemicals.

EACH INGREDIENT IN OUR CREAMS SERVES A PURPOSE. WE HAVE LISTED THE INDIVIDUAL PROPERTIES OF THE INGREDIENTS USED. THESE PRODUCTS HAVE NOT BEEN EVALUATED OR APPROVED BY THE FDA, AND WE ARE NOT MAKING ANY MEDICAL CLAIMS ABOUT THE INGREDIENTS OR THE EFFICACY OF OUR CREAMS.

Questions & Answers

Why does my tallow feel gritty?

Since our tallow is completely natural and free from synthetic stabilizers, you might notice a slightly gritty texture from time to time. This happens when the fats cool and solidify at different rates, forming tiny crystals. It’s a normal part of working with pure ingredients and doesn’t affect the quality or effectiveness of your cream. As soon as you rub it between your fingers, the warmth of your skin will melt it into a smooth, nourishing balm.

How should you store your tallow cream?

You should store your tallow in a cool and shaded area away from direct sunlight and heat. Avoid storing in a bathroom due to fluctuating temperatures. If stored correctly beef tallow has a natural shelf life of up to 1 year

Will using beef tallow make my skin feel too oily?

No it doesn't. A little goes a long way and it absorbs easily into our skin since tallow closely mimics our skins molecular composition.

Does plain beef tallow have a scent?

Pure beef tallow has a faint, neutral scent. Some people may be able to smell it more than others, but it will go away after application. We offer scented creams as well as the plain.

Does it eventually mold?

No. It has a shelf life of 1 year and then may go rancid eventually like any other oil without added preservatives, but shouldn't mold as there is no water in it.

What do you use this for?

As an amazing moisturizer for face and body.

Will the tallow stay in cream form?

Temperature control is important. Tallow has a low melting point of 95-98F so it can soften quite a bit and fall flat when kept in hot spots in your house.

Where do I get my tallow?

I get all the raw fat from local meat processors and render it myself.

Does it matter if using glass or plastic for jars?

I prefer to use glass since some research has found that plastic seems to possibly leech more into fats, so I use glass.
